What is the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce?

The El Segundo Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the business environment and quality of living within the city of El Segundo. The Chamber’s highest priority is to stimulate and sustain economic growth among members and serve as an advocacy for business in government.

The mission of the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce is to promote a strong and prosperous business environment for its members through advocacy, education, referral and community development.

What will I pay to belong to the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce?

Does the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce hold events that I can attend as a non-member?

Yes. Most of our events are open to non-members. However, as a member you will receive discounts to events and preferential seating to all functions. For a complete listing of our events please click here to access our calendar.

How is the Chamber Funded?

Our annual operating budget is generated by dues from the total membership as well as projects and special events.

How do I renew our membership?

How do I join the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce?

Joining the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce is easy and simple. All one must do is complete and submit our Membership Application Form online or stop by the Chamber office to join today.

Where can I find a copy of the Chamber bylaws?

You can get a copy of the bylaws by requesting one from the El Segundo Chamber.

What are the benefits of President’s Circle?

The President’s Circle is a program designed to provide prominent recognition of companies whose steadfast support has been an integral part of the continued growth of the El Segundo Chamber of Commerce and the community.

The El Segundo Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of benefits, services, networking opportunities and programs to its members. By becoming involved in the Chamber you are opening your business to hundreds of potential consumers and opportunities.

What are some of the networking opportunities available?

There are an array of networking opportunities available for Chamber members. The Chamber prides itself on mixers and other networking opportunities that offer members the chance to connect with people of similar interests, identify potential pitfalls and learn about best practices. These opportunities open new doors and allow members to meet other business personals in related fields. The Chamber has reintroduced the popular Business Expo hosted by the Doubletree Hotel that gives members an opportunity to demonstrate their business products and services. Throughout the year, the Chamber also sponsors other mixers hosted by members such as Mattel Inc., Chevron Products Company, Second City Bistro and Citizens Business Bank.

In addition to the mixers, the Chamber hosts five monthly committee meetings. Our committee meetings offer opportunities for you to promote your business, connect with other businesses and community members and focus on topics relevant to the business community.

Do you charge extra to attend meetings or mixers?

The Mattel mixer, held in late fall, is the only charged mixer offered by the Chamber; there is an attendance of $5.00 for members. Aside from the Mattel Mixer, attending monthly meetings and mixers are some of the perks you receive with membership at no extra charge.

Do you have to be a large, well-established business to become a member of the Chamber?

No. The El Segundo Chamber of Commerce has a membership of more than 350 companies representing El Segundo and the South Bay area, businesses of all sizes, from multi-national corporations to individuals and sole-proprietors.

How can the Chamber help me save money?

Through professional partnerships, the Chamber is able to offer members several benefits and services at no cost or at a reduced rate. The Chamber strives in making sure that their members are getting the most out of their membership.

What is the best way to use the Chamber to build my business network?

The best way to build your business network is to develop relationships with other Chamber members. All Chamber programs are designed to give you an opportunity to make new contacts and strengthen existing relationships. The more events you attend and the more actively you participate, the faster and deeper your network will grow.

We produce a number of events that are specifically designed for networking, such as the Business Expo and Chevron Mixer in the Park. Another way to build your network is through volunteering for the Chamber by joining a committee, or even chairing a committee. This is an opportunity to increase your visibility and demonstrate your professionalism and expertise to a wide audience.

How do I use the Chamber for business leads and referrals?

The Chamber prides itself on giving back to the members by referring your business to the community in a variety of ways.

Also, as you attend Chamber events and programs and expand your network, you will have access to people who are in a position to provide you with business leads. As you get to know them and they gain trust in your professionalism, your fellow Chamber members can become an important source of referrals for your business.

How can I stay informed on what's happening at the Chamber?

The Chamber offers a variety of communication tools designed to keep members informed about what's going on in the Chamber and around the community.

All members receive weekly e-mails about what's going on each week and a bi-monthly newsletter called the Business Report with the latest information about the Chamber.

Additionally, the Chamber's website will tell you everything you want to know about the Chamber, the business environment and the city of El Segundo. You can also get Chamber updates and notifications by joining us on popular social networking sites.
