The Chamber …
The Voice for Business
For 56 years, the
El Segundo Chamber of Commerce has served as "the voice for business,"
providing leadership, advocacy, and resources to our members and the
community. We forge successful connections between business, government,
schools, and the community to build a healthier economy and strengthen
the quality of life in El Segundo.
Membership in the
Chamber yields concrete benefits, from business contacts and referrals,
to seminars, workshops and political forums. As a leader in the community,
we work with diverse groups in the area to form vital committees and
events.
The Chamber maintains
two committees that regularly evaluate legislation that would impact
business members. Government Affairs monitors and responds to Federal,
State, and County legislation. The Land Use and Local Advocacy committee
studies proposed ordinances, policies and procedures for the City of
El Segundo. Businesses are encouraged to contact the Chamber for assistance
on any legislative bills, rulings, or measures that are important to
their operations. Our role as a business advocate is one of the most
valuable benefits of membership.
Through the efforts
of our Board of Directors and many dedicated volunteers, the Chamber
works diligently to create and sustain a meaningful and productive organization.
We also make it a point to recognize business and community leaders
through awards such as Salute to Businesses Supporting Education, Business
of the Year and Business Person of the Year, Ambassador of the Year,
and the Chamber Salute to El Segundo.
New members and
new contact people at existing members are invited to attend our New
Member Orientation. The orientation meetings are a popular way to learn
firsthand the many benefits the Chamber offers. Use the opportunity
to obtain the information that will make your membership more successful
and begin to build business relationships with the other business leaders
that you meet there.
The 2005-2006 Business
and Community Directory was made possible by all of our advertisers.
